Welcome.

If you’re new to this website let me give you a quick tour and point you in the right direction.

First, a little about me…

I’m Chris Hammond. I started this website back in 2014 to help people that are nearing retirement in the next 5 years (or just recently retired). I started noticing some common issues people in this category were facing:

Anxiety about retiring – Have I saved enough money? Will I run out of money in retirement?

Questions about annuities – Why am I getting all these free dinner invitations where advisors pitch me an annuity? Are annuities a good deal or bad deal?

Questions about investing my 401(k) rollover – How do I rollover my 401(k) when I retire? How should I invest my 401(k)?

Questions about investing in general – How do I invest in retirement to help protect me from a highly volatile stock market? How do I invest to help keep up with inflation over a potential 20-30 year retirement?

And so I have written many articles addressing these topics. Articles such as:

Check them out. It’s good reading.

Next Steps

I have a fantastic e-book on annuities called “How To Avoid Annuity Traps.” You can download it for free here. It’s going to show you how to make a better decision when choosing whether or not an annuity fits into your retirement plan.

And I also have a great tool to use before you roll over your 401(k) as you near retirement. It’s called “The 401(k) 10-point Checklist.” You can download it free by clicking here. It’ll help you avoid mistakes during this very crucial time in your financial life.

Lastly, if you like what you see and are ready to get a real-deal legit retirement income plan in place for your retirement, click here to check out The Retirement Confidence Roadmap™. I don’t give everything away for free. This is a customized plan for you. The plan helps show you how to never run out of income in retirement, know when you have saved enough to retire, how much you can plan to withdraw from your investments to last a 20-30 year retirement, and much more. Check out the details here.

And if you have any questions for me, use this secure contact form. I usually respond in at least 2 business days, unless I’m on vacation.
